Repair Procedures (A4CF2): Removal

  1. Remove the shift lever knob (A).

  2. Remove the center console. (For Coupe, refer to CONSOLE . For Sedan, refer to CONSOLE .)
  3. Remove the shift cable assembly (B) by removing the clamp (A).

  4. Disconnect the interlock switch connector (A).

  5. Remove the shift lever assembly (A).

  6. Remove the retainer (A) and nuts (B).
    NOTE: In case, remove the crash pad and cowl cross bar. (For Coupe, refer to CRASH PAD and COWL CROSS BAR . For Sedan, refer to CRASH PAD and COWL CROSS BAR .)

  7. Remove the shift cable assembly from the transaxle (refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SYSTEM - A4CF2 ).
  8. Remove the shift cable assembly.
