Repair procedures: Removal

  1. Pull the shift lever knob (A) upward to remove.

  2. Remove the center console cover (A).

  3. Remove the center console assembly. (Refer to "INTERIOR " in BD group.)
  4. Disconnect sports mode connector (A).

  5. Take off the clip (A) and the clamp (B) and then remove the shift cable (C).

  6. Remove the shift lever assembly (B) by removing the four bolts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 ~ 13.7 N.m (0.9 ~ 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 ~ 10.1 lb-ft)

  7. Remove the nut connected with manual lever on the automatic transaxle assembly and a clip.
  8. Remove the shift cable assembly in the vehicle after removing the nuts (B) and the retainer (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    11.8 ~ 14.7 N.m (1.2 ~ 1.5 kgf.m, 8.7~10.9 lb-ft)
