Repair procedures: Replacement

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to "Intake and Exhaust System" in EM group)

  4. Disconnect the TCM connector (A).

  5. Remove the TCM (C) after removing the mounting bolts (A) and nut (B).

    TCM installation bolt/nut: 

    (A), (B) 9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)
