Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Place the shift lever into the "N" position.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Disconnect the battery terminals (A).
  4. Remove the air duct (B).

  6. Remove the battery (A) after removing the mounting bracket (B).

  7. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
    1. Disconnect the breather hose (A), the recirculation hose (B) and the brake booster vacuum hose (C).
    2. Disconnect the air intake hose (D) and then remove the air cleaner assembly (E).

  8. Remove the battery tray (A).

  9. Disconnect the inhibitor switch connector (A).
  10. Remove the shift cable mounting nut (B).

  12. Remove the manual control lever (B) and the washer after removing a nut (A).

  14. Remove the inhibitor switch (A) after removing the bolts (2ea).
