Repair Procedures: Adjustment

NOTE: After replacing the Variable Charge Motion Actuator (VCMA), "VCM Learning" procedure must be performed.

Otherwise, engine performance or emission control related troubles may occur.

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Connect the GDS to the Data Link Connector (DLC).
  3. Turn the ignition switch ON.
  4. Select the "Vehicle", "Model year", "Engine" and "System".
  5. Select the "Vehicle S/W Management".
  6. Select the "Inspection/Test".
  7. Select the "VCM Learning".

  8. Perform the VCM learning procedure according to the message on the GDS screen.
