Repair procedures: Removal

  1. Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  3. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (A).

  4. Remove the mounting bolt (B), and then verticallly remove the sensor from the transaxle housing.

    Crankshaft Position Sensor mounting bolt  :

    6.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.0 - 7.2 lb.ft)
