Repair Procedures: Installation

  1. Install the control cable (A).

    NOTE: The existing control cable clip (A) must be replaced with new one. (Do not reuse it.)

  2. Install the control cable retainer (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    11.8 - 14.7 N.m (1.2 - 1.5 kgf.m, 8.7 - 10.8 lb.ft)

  3. Install the control cable socket (A).

  4. Install the shift cable (A).

  5. Check that the shift lever and control shaft are placed in the "3rd" position.
  6. Install the select cable (A) to shift lever pin after pulling the adjuster (B) in the direction as arrow.

  7. Insert the snap pin (A) after pushing the adjuster (B) in the direction as arrow.

  8. Install the battery and battery tray.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  9. Install the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
