Operation For Each Function Of Button Starting
- Electric power ON/Ignition ON
- The ignition cycles through OFF →ACC→IGN→OFF when pressing the SSB button without stepping on the brake with the key FOB inside the car (However, cycling through ACC↔IGN will occur when the shifter is not in "P" position. Will not allow the vehicle to cycle to the "OFF" position).
- Vehicle "Start" is enabled by pushing the SSB, brake pedal depressed, shifter either in P/N and Key FOB inside vehicle.
- Electric power OFF/Ignition OFF
- Turning ignition OFF is possible in case vehicle stops running/stalls. (Turning ignition OFF is possible in any shifter position.)
- Transmission can be shifted from Park to Neutral when vehicle is off using the shifter release button.
- How to turn ignition OFF forcibly and restart while driving
- Method to stop engine forcibly if vehicle has emergency (e.g. Fuel leaking or Unintended acceleration).
- The engine is turned off and returns to ACC state if the button is long pressed for 2 seconds or pressed 3 times consecutively within 3 seconds while driving. For the next 30 seconds, restarting is possible regardless of the presence of FOB key inside the vehicle, and pressing the button without stepping on the brake (or with stepping on the brake) with FOB key inside the vehicle will change the electric power through OFF → ACC → IGN → OFF. (However, if gear is not in P, ACC ↔ AGN will be repeated. The conversion to OFF is impossible.)
- 0.5 seconds delay function of brake switch input
Engine can be started if the brake pedal is depressed within 0.5 seconds after pressing the start button in engine "OFF" state.
- State of start button indicator (LED) ON depending on the electric power state.
- Electric power OFF: LED OFF
- Electric power ACC state: Amber LED ON
- Electric power ON: Blue LED ON
- While cranking: Maintain the previous LED ON state before cranking
- Starting ON state: LED OFF
