Repair Procedures: Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
  • When reinstalling
    1. If the differential oil seal is damaged and oil is leaking, replace the oil seal with a new one. When installing a new oil seal, use the special tools (09452-3D100, 09231-H1100).
    2. Check the ATF level after refilling the automatic transaxle with fluid.

(Refer to Hydraulic System - "FLUID ")

    3. Refill the engine coolant system radiator with coolant.

(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "COOLANT ")

    4. Refill the hybrid motor cooling system with coolant and then perform the air bleeding using the KDS/GDS.

(Refer to Hybrid Motor System - "COOLANT ")

    5. Perform the resolver sensor calibration using the KDS/GDS.

(Refer to Hybrid Motor System - "RESOLVER SENSOR ")

    6. Perform the clutch pressure sensor calibration using the KDS/GDS.

(Refer to Hybrid Control System - "CLUTCH PRESSURE SENSOR ")

    7. Clear the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) using the KDS/GDS. Disconnecting the battery negative terminal will not clear the DTCs. Clear DTCs using the KDS/GDS at all times.
  • When replacing with a new automatic transaxle
    1. Automatic transaxle is already filled with the specified amount of ATF.

For this reason, it is not necessary to refill and check the ATF. However, the remaining ATF in the ATF cooler has to be drained.

    2. Install the transaxle after draining the remaining ATF by blowing air into the ATF cooler hose.

    5. Clear the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) using the KDS/GDS. Disconnecting the battery negative terminal will not clear the DTCs. Clear DTCs using the KDS/GDS at all times.
    6. Perform the resolver sensor calibration using the KDS/GDS.

(Refer to Hybrid Motor System - "RESOLVER SENSOR ")

    7. Perform the clutch pressure sensor calibration using the KDS/GDS.

(Refer to Hybrid Control System - "CLUTCH PRESSURE SENSOR ")

    8. Reset the automatic transaxle adaptive values using the KDS/GDS.
