Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the battery (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the RCV control solenoid valve.

    (Refer to Engine Control System - "RCV Control Solenoid Valve ")

  3. Remove the purge control solenoid valve.

    (Refer to Engine Control System - "Purge Control Solenoid Valve ")

  4. Disconnect the variable charge motion actuator connector (A).
  5. Remove the variable charge motion actuator mounting bolts (B).

  6. Remove VCMA rod clip (A) and connection link between flap (B) using screwdriver.

    NOTE: VCMA connection link can be damaged. So, make sure to remove it in a horizontal direction.
    Make sure that groove part of the connection link (C) is pointing upward when mounting VCMA.
