Repair Procedures: Removal

Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
Disconnect the alternator connector (A).
Disconnect the alternator "B" terminal (B) after loosening the mounting nut.

Using the hexagon wrench, turn the tensioner (A) counterclockwise and loosen.

Remove the alternator upper mounting bolt (A).
Alternator upper mounting bolt:

29.4-41.2 N.m (3.0-4.2 kgf.m, 21.7-30.4 lb.ft)

Remove the alternator mounting bracket (A) after loosening the lower mounting bolts (B).
Alternator bracket & lower mounting bolt:

21.6-32.4 N.m (2.2-3.3 kgf.m, 15.9-23.9 lb.ft)

Remove the alternator (A).
