Repair Procedures: Removal
- Release the residual pressure in fuel line.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - " RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ").
- Remove the rear seat cushion.
(Refer to Body - " REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the fuel pump service cover (A).
- Disconnect the fuel pump connector (A) and the fuel tank pressure sensor connector (B).
- Disconnect the fuel feed tube quick-connector (C).
- Disconnect the vapor tube quick-connector (D).
- Remove the rear - LH wheel & tire.
- Lift the vehicle and support the fuel tank with a jack.
- Disconnect the fuel filler hose (A).
- Disconnect the ventilation hose (B).
- Remove the under cover (A).
- Remove the brake line (A) bracket mounting bolts.
- Remove the fuel tank (A) from the vehicle after removing the fuel tank band.NOTE:
- When removing the fuel tank, the fuel tank must be tilted because of interfering with coupling.
