Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Release the residual pressure in fuel line.

    (Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")

  2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  3. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.

    (Refer to Body - "REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY ")

  4. Remove the fuel pump service cover (A) after loosening the screws.

  5. Disconnect the fuel feed tube quick-connector (A) and fuel pressure sensor connector (B).
  6. Disconnect the fuel pump connector (C) and the suction hose (D).
  7. Remove the fuel pump plate cover (E) after loosening installation bolts, and then remove the fuel pump.

    Tightening torque: 

    2.0 - 2.9 N.m (0.2 - 0.3 kgf.m, 1.4 - 2.2 lb.ft)

  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
