Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the KDS when replacing with a new TCM.
    1. Click the "Oil-pressure Characteristics BackUp & Input (TCU Replacement)".

    2. Check the condition and then click the "OK".

    3. Click the "BackUp".

  2. Remove the ECM cover (A).

  3. Disconnect the ECM connectors (A) and TCM connector (B).

  4. Remove the ECM & TCM bracket after loosening the mounting bolts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  5. Remove the TCM (B) after loosening the mounting nuts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb.ft)
