[Bank 1/Exhaust]

  1. Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Drain the coolant.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "COOLANT ")

  3. Remove the RH air cleaner.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  4. Remove the radiator lower hose (A).

  5. Disconnect the coolant hoses (A).

  6. Remove the RH turbocharger water pipe (A).

  7. Remove the water inlet pipe (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    24.5 - 28.4 N.m (2.5 - 2.9 kgf.m, 18.1 - 20.9 lb.ft)

  8. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector (A).
  9. Remove the camshaft position sensor after loosening the mounting bolt (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    6.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.0 - 7.2 lb.ft)

  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
  • Install the component to the specified torques.
  • Note that internal damage may occur when the component is dropped. In this case, use it after inspecting.
  • Apply the engine oil to the O-ring.
  • Insert the sensor into the installation hole and be careful not to damage it during the installation.
  • Be careful not to damage the sensor housing and the connector.
  • Be careful not to damage the O-ring.
