Removal and Installation
- Release the residual pressure in fuel line.
(Refer to the Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")
- Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the delivery pipe & injector assembly.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "DELIVERY PIPE ")
- Remove the injector from the delivery pipe after disconnect the connector (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
- Do not reuse the injector fixing clip.
- Install the component to the specified torque.
NOTE:
- Note that internal damage may occur if the component is dropped. In this case, inspect the component before installation.
- Apply engine oil to the injector O-ring.
- Do not reuse the injector O-ring.
- Do not reuse the bolt.
- When inserting the injector, be careful not to damage the injector tip.
- Do not reuse the support disc.
- Do not reuse the injector rubber washer.
- Do not reuse the high pressure fuel pipe.
- When replacing the rubber washer, the rounded edge (A) should face the cylinder installation area and the angulated edge (B) should face the injector body.
- Do not reuse the combustion seal.
