Repair Procedures: Removal

- Air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")
- Remove the nut (A) from the Manual Control Lever.
- Remove the shift cable (B) from the bracket (C) at transaxle side.
- Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Body - "FLOOR CONSOLE ")
- Remove the crash pad.
(Refer to Body - "CRASH PAD ")
- Remove the heater and blower.
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning - "HEATER ")
- Disconnect the shift cable.
- Remove the retainer (A) by loosening the nuts (B-2ea).
- Remove the shift cable from the vehicle.
