Repair Procedures: Removal

Place the shift lever in the 'N' position.
Remove the IVTF drain plug, allow the fluid to drain out and then reinstall the drain plug.
(Refer to Hydraulic System "FLUID ")
Remove the Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT).
(Refer to Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) - "REMOVAL ")
Remove the sound absorption cover (A, B, C).
Tightening torque :

9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

Remove the rear housing (A).
Tightening torque :

19.6 - 26.5 N.m (2.0 - 2.7 kgf.m, 14.5 - 19.5 lb.ft)

Remove the parking sprag (A).
Tightening torque :

24.5 - 29.4 N.m (2.5 - 3.0 kgf.m, 18.1 - 21.7 lb.ft)

Use a scraper to remove the remaining sealant (A) on the rear housing of the IVT.
