Repair Procedures: Installation
NOTE:
- When replacing the windshield glass fitted with the front camera, be sure to replace it with the replacement windshield glass fitted with the coupler.
- If attaching the coupler on the windshield glass without coupler, the front camera may not work properly.
- Using a knife, scrape the remaining sealant around the body panel leaving about 2mm-thick sealant (0.0079 in.) on the bonding surface. If installing a new windshield glass, make alignment marks on the windshield glass and the body.NOTE: Be careful not to damage the paintwork.

If the paintwork is damaged, apply a repair paint or an antiseptic.
- Clean the edges of the body panel and the wind screen glass.
- Apply a body primer to the edge of the body panel.

- Be careful not to touch the surface covered with the primer because touching it may lead to water leaks after installing the windshield glass.
- Do not apply the body primer to the glass.
- Remove any foreign materials from the primer-covered surface.
- Apply the glass primer to the outer edge of windshield glass.

- Apply the sealant within 5 minutes of applying the primer.
- Apply a bead of sealant (B) around the windshield glass (A).
- Using the glass holder (A), adjust the windshield glass (B) fit stopper to stopper hole (C) on the body and lightly push the windshield glass to make the edges fully seated on the bonding surface of body.
- Install the front pillar trim.

- Install the cowl top cover.

- Conduct a leak testing.NOTE:
- Do not directly spray the high-pressure water to the joint area.
- If driving the car is inevitable, drive at a low speed for at least 8 hours.
- Advise the driver to avoid aggressive driving or driving on rough roads for 2-3 days after installing the windshield glass.
- If a leak occurs, apply the sealant to the area where the leak occurs.
- Install the inside rear view mirror assembly.

- Refer to the relevant system service information for component install of room mirrors, rain sensors, multi-cameras, and antennas attached to the windshield glass.
- If the glass is changed or the position of the camera bracket is changed, adjust the camera.
