Repair Procedures: Removal

CAUTION: Do not remove the camshaft position sensor while the engine the running or right after the engine stops, or a scald by the flow out engine oil may occur.
  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Disconnect the Camshaft Position Sensor (CMPS) connector (A).

    [Intake]

  3. Remove the CMPS (A) by removing the mounting bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 -11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
