Repair Procedures: Cleaning

  1. Remove the ETC.

    (Refer to " REMOVAL  ") 

    NOTE: Cleaning the ETC after removing it.
  2. Clean the pollutant in the throttle body using a soft cloth moistened with throttle cleaning fluid.

    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to let foreign matter inside of ETC.
    • Do not spray cleaning fluid to ETC directly and use a lint free cloth moistened with throttle cleaning fluid.
    • Be careful as fingers or cloth may get caught in the valve.
  3. Install the ETC.

    (Refer to " INSTALLATION  ") 

  4. Reset the ECM adaptive values after replacing the ETC.

  5. Perform the ETC learning procedure.

    (Refer to " ADJUSTMENT  ")
