DTC P0197-00: Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Low Input: General Description
The oil control valve is to control the engine performance using the method of retard and advance camshaft angle. It is controlled by the engine control module, or ECM. The ECM basically will control the valve and let it know what appropriate action it must take based on the engine's performance demands, and maintains an oil pressure for engine speed. This allows the internal moving parts of the engine to sustain their functionality.
The oil pressure temperature sensor (OPTS) perform two functions which are CVVT oil temperature (OTS) and oil pressure sensor (OPS).
