Repair Procedures: Removal: Exhaust

  1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the air intake hose (A) after loosening the clamp bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    2.9 - 4.9 N.m (0.3 - 0.5 kgf.m, 2.2 - 3.6 lb.ft, 26.0 - 43.4 lb.in)

  3. Disconnect the Camshaft Position Sensor (CMPS) connector (B) and separate the turbocharger hose adapter (A) by removing the bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  4. Remove the engine hanger (A) after removing the mounting bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb.ft)

  5. Remove the CMPS after removing the mounting bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
