Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the air intake hose (A) after loosening the clamp bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    2.9 - 4.9 N.m (0.3 - 0.5 kgf.m, 2.2 - 3.6 lb.ft, 26.0 - 43.4 lb.in)

  3. Separate Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKPS) connector (A) from the bracket.

  4. Disconnect the CKPS connector (A).

  5. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to " Removal And Installation  ") 

  6. Remove the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKPS) heat protector (A) after removing the mounting bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  7. Remove the CKPS (A) by removing the bolt after removing the wiring fixing clip.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
