Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Open the fuel filler door.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  3. Separate the filler-neck assembly (A) after loosening mounting bolts (B).

  4. Remove the rear wheel and tire after loosening the nuts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    107.9 - 127.5 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb.ft)

  5. Remove the rear wheel guard (A). [LH]

  6. Separate the filler-neck (A) by loosening the mounting bolt (B).

  7. Remove the fuel tank air filter mounting bolts (A) and fastener (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    3.9 - 7.8 N.m (0.4 - 0.8 kgf.m, 2.8 - 5.7 lb.ft, 34.7 - 69.4 lb.in)

  8. Disconnect the canister close valve connector (A).

  9. Separate the ventilation hoses (A, B).

  10. Remove the CCV (B) from the fuel tank air filter (C) by rotating it in the direction of the arrow after releasing the lever (A).
