Repair Procedures: Removal

Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the KDS when replacing with a new ECM.

Remove the battery.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")
Disconnect the engine control module (ECM) connectors (A).

Remove the ECM & bracket (B) after loosening the mounting bolts and nut (A)
Tightening torque:

9.8 -11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

Remove the ECM after loosening the mounting nuts (A).
Tightening torque:

9.8 -11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
