Repair Procedures: Removal
- Disconnect the battery negative cable.
- Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are facing straight ahead.
- Remove the driver airbag module.
(Refer to Restraint - "DRIVER AIRBAG (DAB) MODULE AND CLOCK SPRING ")
- Disconnect the clock spring connector.
- Loosen the bolt and then remove the steering wheel.
Tightening torque:
44.1 - 49.0 N.m (4.5 - 5.0 kgf.m, 32.5 - 36.2 lb.ft)
CAUTION:- When removing the steering wheel, do not impact it by hammering as it may damage the steering column.
- Do not reuse the bolt.
