Repair Procedures: Installation
- Install in the reverse order of removal
NOTE:
(Refer to Automatic Transaxle Control System - "ADJUSTMENT ")
- When reinstalling
- If the differential oil seal is damaged and oil is leaking, replace the oil seal with a new one. When installing a new oil seal, use the SSTs (09453-3L240, 09231-H1100).
- Check that the shift lever and manual control lever are placed in the "N" position.
- Check the ATF level after refilling the automatic transaxle with fluid.
(Refer to Hydraulic System - "FLUID ")
- Clear the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) using the KDS. Disconnecting the battery negative terminal will not clear the DTCs. Clear DTCs using the KDS at all times.
- When replacing with a new automatic transaxle
- Check that the shift lever and manual control lever are placed in the "N" position.
- Automatic transaxle is already filled with the specified amount of ATF.
For this reason, it is not necessary to refill and check the ATF. However, the remaining ATF in the ATF cooler has to be drained.
- Install the transaxle after draining the remaining ATF by blowing air into the ATF cooler hose.
- Clear the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) using the KDS. Disconnecting the battery negative terminal will not clear the DTCs. Clear DTCs using the KDS at all times.
- Reset the automatic transaxle adaptive values using the KDS.
- Perform the oil pressure characteristics input procedure using the KDS.
- Perform the TCM adaptive values learning procedure.
(Refer to Automatic Transaxle Control System - "ADJUSTMENT ")
