Removal & Installation

Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (A).

Remove the engine room under cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
Remove the sensor (A) by loosening the mounting bolt.
Crankshaft position sensor mounting bolt:

7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb.ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

Tighten the component with the specified torques.
If the component has been dropped, inspect if it is damaged before installation.
Apply the engine oil to the O-ring.
Insert the sensor in the installation hole and be careful not to damage.
