Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the KDS when replacing with a new TCM.
    1. Click the "Oil-pressure Characteristics BackUp & Input (TCU Replacement)".

    2. Check the condition and then click the "OK".

    3. Click the "BackUp".

  2. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  3. Remove the integrated body control unit (IBU).

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "INTEGRATED BODY CONTROL UNIT (IBU) ")

  4. Remove the crash pad center panel.

    (Refer to Body - "CRASH PAD CENTER PANEL ")

  5. Disconnect the TCM connector (A).

  6. Remove the TCM (A) after loosening the nuts and bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
