- Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system is a system that controls the throttle valve electronically.
- The ETC System consists of a throttle body with an integrated control motor and Throttle Position Sensor (TPS).
- The Engine Control Module (ECM) uses the Accelerator Position Sensor (APS) signal to calculate the target throttle angle; the position of the throttle is then adjusted by ECM control via the ETC motor.
