Shift Cable: Installation: Installation

Before installation, insert "N range fixing pin" (A) of shift lever after checking the shift lever and manual control lever are on "N" range.

Install the shift cable retainer (A) by tightening nuts (B).
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 14.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.5 kgf.m, 7.2 - 10.8 lb.ft)

Install the cable socket (A).

Install the shift cable to the lever pin and then insert the snap pin (A).

NOTE:

Install the shift cable after checking the direction of projection to prevent incorrect assembly.

Mind the installation direction of snap pin and install the snap pin with the hook facing upward.

Install the shift cable (A) to the bracket (B).

NOTE: The existing shift cable clip must be replaced with new one (do not reuse).
Align the hole in the manual control lever with the N position hole of the position switch and then insert the SST (0K948 - E4000).

Tighten the nut (A) to the specified torque after removing free play after pushing the shift cable in the direction of the arrow.
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 14.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.5 kgf.m, 7.2 - 10.8 lb.ft)

Remove the SST (0K948 - E4000).

Make sure to get rid of "N range fixing pin" (A) after installing the shift lever assembly.

Install the floor console assembly.

Install the battery tray.

Install the air cleaner assembly.

Install the battery.
