Removal & Installation: Removal
WARNING:
- When working on the high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
- When working on the high voltage system or related components, be sure to observe and be aware of the "Safety Precautions, Cautions and Warnings" Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION AND CAUTION . If not, it may cause serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
- When working on high voltage system, make sure to check the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and high voltage shut-off procedure.
- Drain the coolant.
(Refer to Electric Vehicle Cooling System - " MOTOR COOLANT ")
- Recover refrigerant by using the refrigerant recovery/recycling/charging machine.
Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY/RECYCLING/CHARGING/VACUUM/LEAK TEST
- Remove the front center under cover.

(Refer to Motor and Reduction Gear System - " FRONT UNDER COVER - 4WD ")
- Remove the front bumper beam.
(Refer to Front End Module - "FRONT BUMPER BEAM ")
- Remove the horn.
(Refer to Front End Module - "HORN ")
- Remove the headlamp.
(Refer to Light & Vision System - " HEADLAMP ")
- Remove the condenser.
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation And Air Conditioning - " CONDENSER ")
- Remove the radiator.
(Refer to Cooling System - " RADIATOR ")
- Remove the cooling fan.
(Refer to Cooling System - " COOLING FAN - 2WD ")
(Refer to Cooling System - " COOLING FAN - 4WD ")
- Disconnect the FEM connector (A).
- Separate the hood latch cable (A).
- Remove the carrier assembly (A) after removing the bolts.
Tightening torque :
21.6 - 26.5 N.m (2.2 - 2.7 kgf.m, 15.9 - 19.5 lb.ft)
