Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) Module: Cleaning
- Remove the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) module.
(Refer to Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) Module - "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ")
NOTE: Cleaning the ETC after removing it. - Using a cleaner and soft cloth to clean the contaminated area inside the throttle body. Be careful not to let the foreign substances in.NOTE:
- Do not spray cleaning fluid to ETC directly and use a lint free cloth moistened with throttle cleaning fluid.
- Be careful not to wipe the coating area (marked area) around the shaft. If the coating is removed, it causes foreign matters in the bearing in the shaft inside, and causes an idle control fault due to massive leakage of air.
- Install the ETC module.

- Perform the order below with the KDS.
(S/W Management → Engine Control → Resetting Adaptive Values)
