Components And Components Location: Removal

Place the shift lever in the 'N' position.
NOTE: Use wheel chocks to prevent vehicle moved accidentally.
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - " AIR CLEANER REMOVAL & INSTALLATION ")
Remove the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - " BATTERY REMOVAL & INSTALLATION ")
Remove the shift cable by removing the nut (A).

Remove the shift cable (A) from the bracket (B).

Remove the console upper cover.
(Refer to Body - " CONSOLE UPPER COVER ")
Remove the snap pin (A).

Clip position:
Remove the shift cable retainer (A) after removing the nuts. Then, remove the shift cable by pulling it toward the vehicle interior.
