Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Shift the shift lever to the N range.
    NOTE: Use wheel chocks to prevent vehicle moved accidentally.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  4. Disconnect the position switch connector (A).

  5. Remove the shift cable after removing the nut (A).

  6. Remove the manual control lever (A) and the washer after removing the nut.

  7. Remove the position switch (A) after removing the bolts.
