Description & Operation: Description
- The Knock Sensor (KS) detects vibration when knocking and transmits to the Engine Control Module (ECM).
- The knocking sensor outputs a knocking signal when knocking, and the ECM that receives the signal to prevent the knocking by perceiving the timing of ignition. If there is no knocking signal, ECM which controls the timing of ignition continuously to ensure the optimum torque and fuel efficiency.
