- Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system is a system that controls the throttle valve electronically.
- The ETC system consists of a throttle body with an integrated control motor and Throttle Position Sensor (TPS).
- The Engine Control Module (ECM) uses the Accelerator Position Sensor (APS) signal to calculate the target throttle angle the position of the throttle is then adjusted by ECM control via the ETC motor.
