Description And Operation: Description
- The RCV (Recirculation Valve) Control Solenoid Valve operates the RCV actuator which controls the by-pass passage of the turbocharger compressor.
- If the throttle is closed while the engine is on, the turbocharger boost pressure increases rapidly so the impeller near the compressor causes a crashing noise.
- To prevent the noise, the Engine Control Module (ECM) opens the bypass path to release the pressure from the compressor. Therefore, the crashing sound is no longer existed by maintaining the pressure of the boost.
