Engine Control Module (ECM): Adjustment

Information 

Perform inspecting procedure by with the KDS as shown in the illustration below.

1. Perform the procedures below by with the KDS when replacing the Engine Control Module (ECM) with a reused one.
   1. Perform the resetting adaptive values.

      (S/W Management → Engine Control → Resetting Adaptive Values)

   2. Perform the immobilizer neutral mode/smart key neutralization mode.
      • Non-Smart Key type 

        (S/W Management → Immobilizer → Neutral Mode)

      • Smart Key type 

      (S/W Management → Smart Key Unit → Neutralization Mode)

   3. Perform the auto detected configuration reset.

   (S/W Management → Engine Control → Auto Detected Configuration Reset)

2. Perform the "Key Teaching" procedure with the KDS.
   • Non-Smart Key type 

     (S/W Management → Immobilizer → LEARNT KEYS)

   • Smart Key type

   Turn IG ON then OFF using the smart key or start button. Then the ECM learns information on the smart key automatically.

3. Perform the VIN writing procedure with the KDS.

   (S/W Management → Engine Control → Write VIN)

   Information 

   Refer to the KDS screen for operating conditions and details.

4. Perform ETC module learning procedure

   (Refer to Electronic Throttle Control System - "ADJUSTMENT  ")
