Removal And Installation: Removal

Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure with the KDS when replacing with a new Engine Control Module (ECM).
(S/W Management → Automatic Transaxle → Oil-pressure Characteristics Backup And Input (TCU Replacement))

Information

Refer to the KDS screen for operating conditions and details.
Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
Remove the air cleaner.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - " AIR CLEANER REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
Disconnect the Engine Control Module (ECM) connectors (A).

Remove the ECM (A) by pulling it in the direction of arrow after releasing the hooks.

Remove the bracket (A) from the ECM after loosening the mounting bolts.
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
