Repair Procedures: Removal
- Place the shift lever in the 'N' position.
- Remove the IVTF drain plug, allow the fluid to drain out and then reinstall the drain plug.
Refer to FLUID
- Remove the Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT).
Refer to REMOVAL
- Remove the sound absorption cover (A, B, C).
Tightening Torque :
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
- Remove the rear housing (A).
Tightening torque :
19.6 - 26.5 N.m (2.0 - 2.7 kgf.m, 14.5 - 19.5 lb.ft)
- Remove the parking sprag (A).
Tightening torque :
24.5 - 29.4 N.m (2.5 - 3.0 kgf.m, 18.1 - 21.7 lb.ft)
- Use a scraper to remove the remaining sealant (A) on the rear housing of the IVT.
