Continuity Test Procedure (1989)

Test procedure using a multimeter is carried out the same as for 1987-88 models, with addition of tests for purge control valve, air conditioning, heated front screen and condenser fan inputs. The use of a hand held vacuum pump, for example a "Mityvac", is required to carry out Tests 9 and 10. See Figure . Pin wire colors are identified in ENGINE CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION (1989)  table.
