Test 3
Connect the voltmeter between battery positive terminal and high tension coil negative terminal, the voltmeter should register zero volts. See Fig 1 . Switch the ignition ON, the voltmeter should still register zero volts. Crank the engine, the voltmeter reading should increase when cranking, in which case proceed to TEST 5 . If there is no increase in voltage during cranking proceed to TEST 4 .
