Code 29: Engine Control Module Memory Check

If fault Code 29 is detected, all other faults are unreliable and must therefore be ignored. Proceed as follows:

  1. Leave battery connected.
  2. Switch ignition off.
  3. Wait for approximately 5 seconds.
  4. Disconnect and reconnect Engine Control Module (ECM) connector.
  5. Switch ignition on and check display unit.
If code 29 is detected again, substitute ECM and restart test sequence.
