Amplifier Test
Connect voltmeter between battery positive terminal and ignition coil negative terminal, voltmeter should register zero volts. See Fig 1 . Switch ignition ON, voltmeter should still register zero volts. Crank engine, voltage should increase when cranking, in which case proceed to SECONDARY IGNITION COIL WIRE TEST . If there is no increase in voltage during cranking, proceed to PICK-UP COIL RESISTANCE TEST .
