Power Circuits
Release Engine Control Module (ECM) connector retaining clip and remove connector from ECM. Access is gained by removing front seat base trim of right hand front seat. Remove connector shroud and maneuver it along harness until there is enough clearance to enable meter probes to be inserted into back of plug. There are six pin numbers (1, 13, 14, 27, 28 and 40) molded onto rear of plug as shown in illustration. See Fig 2 . Pin wire colors are identified in ENGINE CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION table.
To test Powertrain Control Module (PCM) power circuits, see Fig 1 . After completing test, retest vehicle to ensure faults have been rectified. If faults still persist, recheck using Lucas diagnostic equipment.
