Engine Compression

Check engine compression with engine at normal operating temperature at specified cranking speed, all spark plugs removed and throttle wide open.

ENGINE COMPRESSION SPECIFICATIONS

8.13:1 Compression Engine 150-160 psi (10.5-11.2 kg/cm2 )
9.35:1 Compression Engine 170-180 psi (12.0-12.7 kg/cm2 )
(1) See ENGINE IDENTIFICATION CODE  under INTRODUCTION.
(2) Maximum variation between cylinders is 10 percent.
