Pick-Up Coil Resistance Test
Remove amplifier. Check resistance between pick-up terminals in body of distributor. See Fig 1 . Reading should be 2000-5000 ohms. If reading is as specified, check all connections between pick-up and amplifier. If connections are okay, install new amplifier. If engine still does not start, go to SECONDARY IGNITION COIL WIRE TEST . If reading is not as specified, install new pick-up and attempt to start engine. If engine still does not start, go to SECONDARY IGNITION COIL WIRE TEST .
