Wheel Speed Sensor & Exciter Ring

NOTE: Road speed information is transmitted from wheel sensors to Body Electrical Control Module (BECM). BECM uses road speed information to drive speedometer and other systems that need road speed information, except transfer box electronic control module.

There is one wheel speed sensor and one 60-tooth exciter ring located at each wheel. Front exciter ring is located inside each front hub assembly next to the constant velocity joint. Rear exciter ring is inside axle next to wheel bearing assembly.
